All Iyengar classes are structured as a framework for learning the foundations of yoga, and experiencing all of it’s gifts as and when you are ready. Classes span beginners, mixed ability levels and intermediate sessions and an Over 55’s class for those who welcome a slower pace and supported practice. These classes form the backbone of our practice pathways, and run every week in person throughout school term.

We shall gather again in spring, but for now I am moving to a different rhythm
From strong and firm to yielding, like nature is reminding us at this time. The natural world is not stepping up the pace, it is dialling right down, taking a pause to regroup, preparing to rest and I feel drawn to honour this transitional time in my own life. Traditionally it was at this crossover between summers end and winter, the festival of Samhain, that we celebrated and contemplated the aspects of completion and renewal, endings and beginnings that are marked by this time. So at this point on the wheel of the year, the wheel of my life, I am choosing to begin the new year with rest and allow myself to slow down.
Now is my time to seed my intention deep within and let it gestate there, with no expectation to take action on it, withdrawing and making plenty of space for rest within. It is in the spring that life starts to stir and the seed breaks through from the darkness to grow to the light.
