GL17

You are invited to Church Farm in Abenhall, Mitcheldean for a change of scenery and pace in the heart of the forest. The arts lodge is set atop the stable courtyard with the medieval church of St Michael and rolling landscape surrounding us.
Join me on my birthday (!) for a morning of energising and restorative yoga. A time to be with ourselves as we transition from mother to matriarch through our meno-pausal years. We ask how do I best take care of myself to feel sense of wholeness as we journey into balance from the wisdom of heart.
Through the alchemy of movement, stillness, breath, and time softening and opening together, we will spend Saturday morning in the fullness of ourselves.
I shall guide us through a carefully curated sequence of yogasana to bring together a balance of practice to help support our changing body and mind followed by an healthy birthday brunch
This is a beautiful time as we transition the seasons gently moving toward winter, the time of year that invites deep rest and yet we still have the golden moments to remind us of summer.
Cannot wait to share warmth of connection with you
Great peace.

Summer School – July and August 2023
These were stand alone workshops hosted by myself, Kishe and guest SW Senior Iyengar Teachers exploring Svadhyaya or self -reflection revealing the essence of what it is to be human through the nouirishing action of asana and pranayama
We explored and developed simple postures and unique actions using our Iyengar develomental sequencing that enabled us to see ourselves through the lens of asana, skilfully and intelligently uncovering a greater depth of awareness and understanding of our selves and our blind spots from a powerfully awakening practice.
These Sunday mornings through July and August helped maintain our tapas our zeal to remain steadfast on our yogic path even when regular classes took a break through the summer months.
JENNY-MAY WHILE
Her first time to the Wildwood summer series, Jenny, created a friendly and inclusive space which allowed us to explore through experience the benefits of a creative practice.
“Kishe and Jenny
Thank you both sooooo much for such a wonderfully indulgent treat yesterday.
Jenny, I learned so much and found the gems of information of how to find and engage parts of me I’d forgotten were there so useful (and I’m still feeling those bits).
Kishe, as usual your cuisine was sublime and I really appreciate the time and effort you put into making these sessions so welcoming.
Thank you both
Jill “
Tamara Hockey
Tamara is dedicated to passing on the benefits of Iyengar yoga to her students regardless of their current state of fitness and flexibility. And she did just that at our workshop. She has a clear and thorough approach and all the students fely that they were encouraged to work to their highest level. This was a workshop of paravritta actions which were both challenging and transformative and ofcourse time to recover and absorb the benefits in a well earned savasana. Tamara is a certified Senior 1 Iyengar teacher (and an assessor and mentor for the IYA UK) and brings many years of teaching experience.
“Thank you for opening your arms and heart for a wonderful workshop with Tamara. Really dynamic and inspiring. Our lunch so enjoyable with heaps of love that you put into it.

Lizzie Biggin
Lizzie Biggin has been practising yoga for over 25 years & is a qualified Senior Level 2 teacher. She is also a trained dancer, fine artist, and performance artist. She has spent the last three years building her plane TIZY from scratch and journeying one airstrip at a time from Johanesburg to Gloucester touching down into a myriad of destinations in Africa and Europe. We were grateful that she had both feet on the ground for our workshop.
Hello Kishe, I wanted to say how lovely and welcoming you made us all feel on Sunday. I really wasn’t very well that day so may not have looked too appreciative but trust me it was all noted.
Zoë Reason
Zoë began practising yoga in her twenties. She loved it. Its been an every day feature of her life ever since! In our final Sunday together Zoë brought the weaving of the beginnings, the expansions, the directions, throughout our practice revealing that conscious connection of our yoga lineage, the nature of spirit and matter all wrapped in asana and their expression within self. The story of Shivas bow, Pinaka, enabled us all to thread the image through all our asana animating our whole experience beyond just physical shape. A true gift of a workshop.
Thanks so much for today! My heart is full!

“I’ve been thinking all afternoon for the words to describe how much I enjoyed your yoga retreat and I am still at a loss. Everything about it was just perfect and the best way to describe how I feel is that I’ve had a “factory reset” and my body is currently free from all the stresses it has collected during the past few years. I wish I could bottle how I feel right now.”
“A simple “thank you” doesn’t do justice for what you give but THANK YOU”
Jill
“Dear Kishe, thank you for the candle gift…..adding light into the world. And for making me grounded and back into my own shape again.”
